Hello DVXuser forum! Thanks for checking out my new rig first of all!
And I just want to say this rig is really easy and I would put it about a 2 on a hardness scale from 1 to 10. Before I say the parts let me start off by saying the photos below are of my Canon Rebel K2,I'm a huge film fan,But I also have a T1i and LOVE these two together, once again I would like to say this gets about the same shots as a "Fig-Rig". Well hope you found this usefull,I love the rig one of my new DIY favorites!
Directions: For the handle drill a 1/4" hole in the Wooden Dowel, and then screw in the Hanger Bolt, and then you can slide on your grip. Then, drill a hole, 3/4" down the Aluminium, and one 3" down the opposite side (This measurement is for Canon Rebel T1i's) and the you should have 2 holes about 4" apart on the Aluminium. The one to the FAR side is for the grip,The other is for your camera, and that's where the 1/4 - 20 bolt comes in!
NOTE: I added some 1" Padding to mine,so it wouldnt scratch up the camera and it looks more professional in my mind.
Hope you could understand my complicated directions! Thanks, and Happy Building! Send me a message for any questions.
Here's my parts list:
1 - Piece of 1 - 1/2" x 7" Aluminium or Steel
1 - 3/4" x 5" Wooden Dowel
1 - Bicycle Grip
1 - 1/4" x 2" Hanger Bolt
1 - 1/4" Brass Cap
1 - 1/4"-20 Bolt
