DIY Dolly on Rough Terrain

I need to shoot some shots in an Orchard and want to do a dolly shot. I had built a DIY dolly and it works great on smooth surfaces, but want to use it in a outdoor setting.

What is the trick to making it work smoothly in not so optimal terrain....
any leveling tricks.

Thanx

You could always pour a cement pathway wherever you want the dolly to travel.

But seriously, couldn't you use plywood or 2"x4" boards under the track...then you could use small shims to boost the spots that were low allowing the boards to fully support the track.

Just my $0.01 9/10

Put wood under it. Thats how we do such shots. We lift the track onto apple boxes and shim it till its level.

mmm apple..crates.....
