I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for how I can modify my Nikkor lenses myself to something similar to what duclos does. My main concern is what the best way to permanently add a lens gear. I assume the front cap is just a matter of buying step up rings (any recommended brands?) and I've heard that de-clicking the lens is a fairly easy process, does anyone have a good guide?

I declicked a few lenses. Very easy to do with the old SLR glass I had. Packed a little grease in to replace the loss of the ball and its nice and smooth and holds the position. I also removed my rubber focus rings and superglued a zacuto gear tape (plastic gear) in place. Works great and its rock solid.
