I don't know for certain, but from the pictures you posted it looks as though your adaptor is significantly narrower than your camera's lens. That may be the cause of the vignetting we are seeing in your footage. If it is, I don't know if there is anything you can do about it.

Add a spacer or two, sonys macro have never been great, you need a few mor inches of space to get a closer zoom.... for focus reasons....

just get a +5 or less achromat. this would avoid the vignetting. the tube being more narrower wouldn't have any effect on it whatsoever. i've used the same setup and never had vignetting problems.

i dont think its because of the tube width... a spacer or two sounds like a good idea, i might get a macro lens...

car3o, im new the adapter world, what is an achromat? and where would i purchase one at? is it the part that would allow equal amounts of light to hit the focus screen?

The picture clarity is very nice, but yeah, as you know the vignetting's pretty bad. What did you use as a focusing screen? Is it vibrating or static?

I'm not the most knowledgable of people here by a long shot, but I think the diopter allows your camera to better focus on very close objects - like the ground glass plate (thus the macro). One would almost certainly help here.
