recently got a canon T2i, and needless to say I am very happy with the results. i wasnt too happy with using a monopod for stablization, there is still a lot of jitter side to side.
so i built this (for shooting skateboarding mainly) so i can get it low to the ground and also hold it up by the sides for a more stable handheld shot.
didn't take long to put together, its all 1/2 inch copper pipe soldered together. the quick release mount I found for $20 at Bil''s Camera in Huntington Beach, CA while I was there on vacation last week and it unscrews from a bolt glued into the plexiglass base so i can change it to a different rig.
i do realize its not the best job I could have done, but i dont plan on using this for anything but personal shooting. just thought that if there was anyone out there wondering about inexpensive design ideas this is something to build off of, its stable, very lightweight and doesnt take up much space if you unscrew the top handle
WILL POST TEST FOOTAGE SOON
