DIY 35mm Electronics Question

So I'm currently building a spinning 35mm adapter for my hv30. However, the first time I tried soldering the electronics together, the batteries were leaking once i tried to see if it worked and overall, I don't know if I put it together right.

So basically the electronics configuration is: Battery pack (2 AA's)> toggle switch> motor> LED> battery pack

so if anyone here knows how to correctly comlete the circuitry without the batteries melting, please tell me

That should work, I'm not sure why the batteries would leak. The batteries are in a holder, right?

yes it was....but it could've just been bad batteries. I just didn't know if people who made adapters like this used a circuit board or something instead of just soldering some wires together

I haven't made one, but a circuit board isn't necessary. The batteries may have been in backwards, too. Technically you need a resistor on that LED, but everything else is just wires, nothing fancier.

IThe batteries may have been in backwards

I knew for a fact that the batteries were the right way because it was working for a few weeks but then one day i saw a white powder coming out of the battery pack and opened it up to find battery acid on the inside. I also probably will try the resistor on the LED though...thanks for that bit of information :dankk2:
