Distribution

Does anyone have any suggestions about distribution. We had a feature length script, during the production we cut scenes out b/c of time. To make a long story short we only have an 1 hr film with credits.

Options

1. The writer is working on another 20-30 page script to get us where we need to be.

2. Does anyone know if I can send it to block buster who to contact. I've seen some short films on the shelf . For the most part I know they buy in bulk but also I know someone who got it distributed through blockbuster he wouldn't give me the contact for some reason.

3. Or anyplace that distributes hour films/ showtime/hbo things to that nature.
(I'm just trying to look at my options)

4. Back to the drawing board and shoot a revised 20 to 30 page script to be where I need to be.

All options and suggestions needed.

Thanks in advance.

Blockbuster distro was DEJ but they were bought by First Look... though if it's just rental store exposure you're after you'd submit to Blockbuster.

If accepted it's likely you'd be put on a rev-share basis, which could be a lot of out-of-pocket with the HOPE that rental goes well. There are a lot of different arrangements... really depends on your film.
