Biggest takeaway for me? Both the producers and The Weinsteins were in the black 7 years before the film opened in the US. At the same time, imagine if Tom Quinn had gotten the rights when he was with Magnolia in '06 instead of now...

And speaking of that whole thing about Tom Quinn (who remembered the film when he left Magnolia for Radius-TWC five years after seeing it), this just goes to show that if you have something people believe in, you'll have people who will champion your work even when you've probably lost any hope for it ever seeing the light of day.
