Well either way, I'm jealous!

And hey, you're starting a new project!? Wow, I didn't know that. I was starting to think for awhile there you wanted to be the next Terrence Malick!

hahahaha yeah no 20 year gaps for me thank you very much. what would i do with myself?

I actually have a few things planned. I have a script I just finished and i'll be working on two more so that when this most current project is done early next year, i'll have two or three scripts ready to go.

what are you up to now anyway? is your e-mail working? i sent you an e-mail some time ago but didn't get a reply.

Cool! Good to hear you're moving forward, I can't wait to see what you come up with next (and I still want to see your new cut some day!)

And I probably didn't reply 'cause I suck. I actually have a million new things going at once now times two and I know I missed some emails, they are in the pile though, just gotta catch up. Feel free to drop me another one tho...sorry dood. :undecided

Well, both King Kong and LA Confidential pretty much were black and white films with color added so they'd make more money. It's an unfortunate demand, though not an entirely unsurprising one.

The new King Kong was going to be B+W, but they decided to shoot color ultimately. LA Confidential is indeed color, but an homage to the black and white b-film. (As was King Kong.)

ahhh i see. i didn't know that. interesting. i would have liked to see that done for king kong. far more artistic.

Not to get off topic here, but I've also heard that 'The Man Who Wasn't There' was released in color in some countries (it was B&W in the US).

So apparently it doesn't matter who you are...you'll always be asked/expected to bend for the market in some respect.

:)
(I meant 'bend' as in compromise, but now I realize it has a nice double meaning)

again, i had no idea that was the case for that film either. wow you learn something new everyday
