I already know how to distort video clips to give them a whole new look but I am curious to know if there is a way to wrap video around something spherical like a ball or globe. Actually I know it can be done but can it be done in FCP or would I have to use AE for that? For example if I had a shot of a globe and had it rotating. As it rotated you would see a new video clip.
Another idea I had was to scroll video much like the text on the bottom of your screen warning you of a severe thunderstorm on the way. Is there a way after you scale down the clips to about 30-40% arrange them in a way that you could scroll 10-15 clips across the screen kinda like a filmstrip and each frame of the strip would represent a video clip?
I just got AE but I think its going to take me a while to learn it and I have to get a project done by the end of the month. I am hoping I can create something cool in FCP to get me by for now.
