I want to dissolve video on one track into video on another track. I have been adjusting the composite envelope level on each track to do this. Is there a better way? Even when my top video track is set to 100% (opaque) I still see some of the bottom video coming thru (but only when the bottom track composite level is non-zero)?? Thanks for any suggestions.

Can't you just put them on the same track and overlap them (thus creating a dissolve)? Or do you need to hold them at a certain mix for a certain time? If you're still seeing bottom video when the top is at 100%, then something else is out of whack. Like maybe your clip opacity level is probably not at 100.
I can't put them on the same track (or, at least it is not easy since I am going in and out of the bottom track). I checked the opacity on the top video track's envelope, and it was 100%, but I am still seeing a very small amount of the bottom video track (unless I set its opacity very low)???
