Disposable Mattebox

I am going to sit down and design a Disposable paper mattebox. ( carboard not paper)

If anyone wants to know how to do it, chime in and i will write up a How to, with a template or instructions or something....

oh mine is more like the desktop creations one. but simpler. rEALLY barebones.

Aka Fast. literally disposable.

The Desktop one is too nice.. iwould save that.
 
Has anyone made a foldaway sunshade that would fit an XL2 with Century Optics 0.7X converter attached? I would be very interested in one of those, because the CO adapter has no lens hood at all and so always has potential for glare.

I've seen some people use a bottle and cut it in half, using the top of the bottle. Then gluing that to a step up ring.
 
Here's one I made out of foamcore.

It's visually based on one I saw either here or dvinfo.com.
Took me an hour or so, and I made a paper template to fit it perfectly before I started cutting foamcore.
One mistake that I made was that I didn't take into account the thickness of the velcro, but it's disposable, so who cares.

Oh yeah, it folds (or unfolds) flat and fits under the foam in the lid of my case.
 
thats basically what im making... but its getting more and more complicated.....

haha... i am trying to see if i can design it to take filters....
