Here's a free utility if you want. I wrote it on win xp 32 bit.

I looked around on the web and didn't find quite what I was looking for so I wrote my own. It's a really basic VB.net program.
I minimize the task bar to see my cpu usage while also letting this program run in the taskbar for easy reading of how much physical memory I have left. It updates every second.
