Hope all is well with everyone. I have been editing HDV material on my Avid Xpress Pro (5.6.2) in the past. It is a Pentium 4 CPU 3.6 and i use Esata Drives to work with my footage from Firestore material. I have been editing with an ATI Xtasy 9200 DISPLAY CARD in the past. Although it was perfect for Standard and even HDV - i need something with a little more "umph" to edit the HD DVC CAM (captured with my HVX200 camera) footage that i am currently using. I don't want to go nuts with the display card. I don't need two computer monitors or even to see it on an HDTV. I just need something faster that can play on my computer that will work quick when editing. i.e i don't want to spend a fortune for a display card - just get by editing HVX200 material. There are a tons of cards that AVID recommends but i don't neccesarily like the "brand" that they recommend. Any AVID HVX200 have any ATI display card recommendations (or other than AVID's recommendations) that have been great for editing HVX200 material.
