disk full error

i have just finished editing a short film i'm working on.
Now at the stage of rendering it iproblems arise. When exporting the film in 720i (microsoft avi wihtout compression) refuses to end rendering and always say that the disk is full (100g left in an external hd).
I've looked around the forum and i've only found one entry where the problem was not solved.

Thanks for your help.

Check the scratch disk, not the external. Premiere constantly render out support data such as sound to whatever disk it's installed in. Possibly rendering out the file also cause these extra data to be saved to the scratch drive.

well, the problem can't be there as it is set to write the cahce files files in the same place as the project and the free space is 100G.

Thanks anyway.

Any other ideas?

You Might Ck Your External Hd To See If Its Fomated In Fat32 Or Ntfs. I Used To Get Disk Full Errors On My Fat32 Hd's And Found Out From My Computer Guy That There Is A Limit On Transfers To Fat32 Formatted Drives. Change To Ntfs Might Eliminate The Problem. You Will Have To Save Off Any Files Prior To The Change. Take The Drive To Your Computer Guy Its A Simple Change If You Dont Know How To Do It, My Guy Doesnt Even Charge Me For The Change

I've already checked that and it is in ntfs format, that's why i'm getting crazy about this problem. Everything looks fine but the problem goes on.

thanks anyway.
