Disc Makers ReflexUltra

Just got my Disc Makers ReflexUltra 7 today. Within an hour I had 30 dvds burnt. It only burns on the disc makers ultra media but all disc played fine in my jvc player. If anyone is interested I can keep this updated on how its working and any compatibility problems I may run into.

I would be interested in updates. :)

So, what made you go with the Disc Makers ReflexUltra 7? and did you get the Extended Warranty or 48 hour replacement service? And last but not least, did you get it mostly for your own work or are you planning on duplicating for others?

:dankk2:

I went with disc makers due to there reputation from the people ive talked to that have deled with them. I went with the ultra due to cost, Im stuck using there media but I feel they are priced well. I know I could get a better deal at frys on media but probably not a big difference. The disc they supply are made by Taiyo Yuden and ive read that they are a high quality disc. I bought these mainly for my own work. I had a 40+ disc run and doing them 1 at a time was something I didnt want to spend time on. No 48 hour service, or extended warranty. As for doing duplicating, Im not sure yet if I will do any. I do worry that some people may still have dvd players that will not play dvd-r. It comes with a 1 year warranty. No extended warranty or 48 hr replacement. They wanted close to $300 for 48 hr replacement and my wife still hasnt talked to me since buying my dvx, but now that I have checks coming in for dvds she starting to warm up.

monkeymeat, thanks for the info. I'm thinking pretty seriously about getting one.

LOL. Sounds a lot like my wife. "You need a what now? what does it do again? Didn't you just spend $100 on that lens thingy?" She always helps me figure it all out though, so I can't complain.

Let us know how things go as you start cranking out the DVDs!

Thanks again.

I finished my dvd run for my current project. Burnt around 40 dvds, one didnt take the 1st time. The burner held the disc and burnt it on the next pass of disc. All played great in my jvc, and I've talked to a few people that have viewed there copies and they say they play fine. Only draw back I can see is having to order disc from disc makers, but I have to order tapes online so no big deal. I saved the project to the hard drive, tonight I may try burning straight from the disc but that gives me one less burner.
