Disc and Mac

Robbie Comeau

Como's back. back again
I have a file on my used to be blank 700 mb CD. I put her into my mac, and it won't pop up on my desktop.

I checked disk utility and it is there.

How can I open up my file?

Thanks,

Huh?

What OS X version are you using?

In your System Preferences under CDs & DVDs what does it say in the drop down box after, "When you insert a blank CD:"

Are you using just the Mac's burn utility or are you using something like Toast?

Usuall when i insert a DVD it will open toast.

I am on the latest version. Not on leopard though.

I burned it just using the finder at my coop. So its an AFTER EFFECTS project file, only 12 mb.

Now when i pop her in my mac at home, nothing pops up on my desk top, like that CD icon.

Again, check and see what your System Prefs are telling you. As an alternative, open Toast, choose CD and drop your file in there. Then burn it.

I burned it just using the finder at my coop. So its a final cut project on a disk. Only 100 mb.
So, basically you're trying to copy a disk and the burned disk is not showing up? Does it show up in another computer, you may have a bad disk.

Wait, are you trying to copy a Final Cut PROJECT or a completed video from Final Cut?

See quote above.

Ya, I didn't have it on me.

It's an AE file. With a bunch of pictures in the folder.

It says that Toast will open.
