Disappearing posts

I have had a half dozen or so posts just vanish. I don't know if they were originally there and then got lost, or if they never actually got posted. At first I thought maybe I was just not hitting the buttons. But it has happened too many times that I go revisit a thread and don't see my post. If I was this much of a spaceshot I would have to be dead.
 
ha ha dont worry galt yesterday there where a few threads that got polluted by a bad member, and where removed. Nobody is picking on you and your not going crazy, or dead.
 
I have seen whole threads vanish, and I always figured that it was intentional. These were just posts to existing threads, the rest of the thread still exists, just my post is missing.
 
I noticed the Pope thread was missing here yesterday, or maybe it's my imagination. I realize that things got a little heated, but removing a whole thread because of a knothead or two seems like overkill to me. It was a leitimate news story that many of us were interested in.

At the very least, if you remove a thread, or post, there should be a notice "removed by moderator" or something. It will keep some of us from worrying about the early onset of Alzheimer's

Check your User Control Panel setting "Default Thread Age Cut Off". Threads that are older than the cut off are hidden.
 
it all makes sense now..

someone posted a message on that damn balsa wood camera mock up again... I posted a reply and the thread was deleted...

haha...

er.. wait a min.... maybe I am next :shocked:

Thanks, I am aware of this. I'm referring to a thread from yesterday.

now that on the other hand, was me.. Im so sick of seeing that stupid thing I canned it. People get mad when they see that funky prototype its better just to let it die.
 
HEY....I'll come right out and say, I didn't make a single post yesterday so it wasn't *ME*!! :)

I've been minding my P's and Q's like a good little DVX Fanboy!! ~reservoir~
