disappearing mystery

Can anyone explain why in FCP studio, when I export my audio/video Final cut movie to soundtrack for voice overs, after a day or so, the quicktime video file always mysteriously disappears, and only the audio remains. This has happened many times. Is there any accounting for this inexplicable mystery?

hello again,

One day later...and I'm opening the Soundtrack audio/video feature project for voice overs, the video part is gone again (leaving only audio). When I go to re-export the movie in FCP to Soundtrack, it doesn't start a new file, but automatically re exports the film to the original place that it disappeared from... and this takes at least an hour to export every time. Any clues?

The feature film is on a Lacie terrabyte hard drive, using a Mac G5 dual 2.3 GHz, version 10.4.9

Any help or ideas would be highly appreciated.

Right. One last time. Maybe there are ghosts in my machine or something tricky like that...and noone else has experienced this kinda thing. It happened again, twice yesterday. I lost the video part of the audio/video FCP (studio) export to Soundtrack and it takes at least an hour to re export it, except as I mentioned, it automatically re exports back into the same file again (to fill the video disappearance), without asking to re save. Strange. Meantime, it's taking alot longer doing the voice overs.

Sounds familiar? Anybody out there?
