disappear effect?

guys, how do I do the "disappear effect" in Sony Vegas. For example: there was a picture on the wall but it suddenly disappears...

Put the camera on a tripod and lock the shot off so that nothing moves. Shoot a shot of the picture on the wall for awhile. Leave the camera rolling, then take the picture off the wall and record the blank wall for awhile. Then, in Vegas, do a dissolve between the shot of the picture to the shot of the empty wall.
