Dirty Sound After Capture.

Ok guys, I have a DVC80, a Best Buy 4-pin to 4-pin firwire cable and my laptop. I'm capturing all of my video via premiere, and the sound is fine while capturing. Then when I pull my footage into the timeline, I get like spikes of in the audio, almost like a fuzzy television except a lot shorter and louder. Can you guys help me troubleshoot this at all please?

but to start, you could try the following: try prerendering the audio if youve applied effects to it or changed it at all after capture. sometimes the realtime playback cant keep up when your vid has effects and corrections and you r audio does as well pending how fast your machine is you cojuld get some playback issues. be sure that you shut down EVERYTHING .. and i mean EVERYTHING else when you are editing, and see if you get the same thing.
