dirty inside my letus!

I had to send mine back with the same problem. You can pry the ends off and try to air-dust. Eventually, you will have to do this anyway as maintenance. For some reason, the lenses in there are dust magnets and there's lots of residue inside from manufacturing. Like my friend who owns an M2 satisfyingly said to me, "You get what you pay for." True! But if you can get it clean, it works pretty good for the price. This problem caused me major headaches (literally), though. p.s. Quyen did fix it. There was still dust inside, but this time I could air-clean where before I couldn't. Good luck!

I mean the thing works great when it's firing on all cylinders. Just look at the clips on this site. That's why so many people get them (and the price). But if you're going to spend all that time and effort (and most likely some amount of monay) on a feature, why skimp on the thing that you'll be passing that image through? If I was gonna throw down and shoot a feature, I'd make sure a) I had the right camera b) the right adapter. Yes, the Letus can do it. But, there does seem to be a lot of problems with the Letus out of the box. IMO, bust out your card and get a Brevis. Those things seem to be rock solid and I would have gotten one if I wasn't also in the market for a camera and lenses. In fact, I hope to get one at some point. The Letus is to mess around with on shorts and music videos, etc. Honestly, you wouldn't think it, but the Letus is pretty delicate. Hand made with wires coming out, velcro, hotglued lenses, etc. Can't take a lot of abuse. Read my first post again and consider that well. That's my experience, but I still tip my hat to Quyen for the Letus. Here's a pic of my rig on my old TRV900. p.s. look close to see Scotch Tape securing the camera side connector on the Letus. With the heavy zoom lens, it started to pull right off from the threaded part on the camera.
