Dirty Grubby men

Hi, I'm a student filmmaker, new to the boards:0)

I have to make up some dirty, grubby, smelly ole cowboys. I'm thinking dirt in the creases of thier faces, grimey yellow teeth, etc.

I have some ideas, but I was just wondering if any one had suggestions on specific makeup they've had success with in the past or techiniques they might be willing to share... :0)

I considered just using dirt, but I'd like to be more...sanitary...than that:0) I've heard walnut dust works well...any suggestions?

For some reason there are a lot of sites on the web now for casualty simulation. Not related to Halloween. Maybe something with homeland security. Anyway, they even have fake dirt.

There's some powders for simulation of this kind of stuff. "Plains dust specialty powder". Also "charcoal powder" too.
