Dirty frame..

Hi all,
I was just shooting a short film today and one of my shot got dirty because of a light stand..the problem is the light stand is visible in the shot..since the camera is not moving in the shot I was thinking how to subtract that stand from the frame????
Please let me know how to do this..should I use garbage matte ?
Please explain me how to do this either in PP2 or AE 7.0..

For some reason i cannot re shoot this and this has become a huge issue now..
I would really appreciate any help/advise on this...

1. export a full progressive frame

2. bring it into photoshop and paint out the offending stand

3. cut that cleaned stand area and a small feather to a new layer and leave the background transparent.

4. Bring the psd into After Effects or Premiere and lay the patch over top of your footage.

5. Profit

You have had the help so here comes the advice...

Look through the viewfinder to see whats in the frame.
