Director is a no show for first day of shooting... What the...?

It certainly is quite unprofessional, though of course we are only hearing one side. Perhaps if she felt her professional integrity was being undermined or something, she would walk away? Plenty of directors have walked out on films before, but it is the timing that is really bad on this one. Not turning up on the first day? We don't know the reasons but if it was creative difference or something along those lines that really should be worked out early, not left until the first day of the shoot. I'm sure Lynne Ramsay had her reasons, but that doesn't make it any easier for those involved.

I'm available.

I've got a GH2 and a T2i. Since they're in a bind, I won't even charge a rental fee for those puppies.
