NOw, Ive been hearing some things about attaching a portable harddrive and record directly from the camcorder instead of a DV tape.
I THINK I saw an article somewhere in DV mag or some other publication.

So, anyone heard of this?

its called direct to disk recording.. do some searches for "quickstream DV" "firestore dv" or "direct to disk DV" and read to your hearts content

Thanks man,

So has anyone here used this technique and their two cents and how it compares to tape?
