Dilema: Bride/Groom not giving me an answer on wedding that I filmed for them

Strangely Enough Option 3: Complete our wedding video to an agreed standard and after viewing I will arrange the rest of the money to be forwarded in 24 hours

Is Exactly what I wanted them to do And Payment within 24 hours...so that means they have the timecodes etc. ready for me to do the video to their taste?

I'm surprised that both of you are choosing option #3... however, I think the moral of the story (in situations like this) is to always be professional... and always confront anger (in THESE situations) with understanding and willingness to do what you can to resolve the issue. (If we were talking anger as related to an unprovoked bar fight? I'd suggest "sucker punch directly in the nose" ).

A good friend of mine once said, "any enemy is a bad enemy"... that's a wise sentiment. If you ever get a chance to put a fire out instead of trying to fight fire with fire... it's usually the best course of action (at least in cases like this, where both parties have more to gain in saving the situation vs. burning everything.)

No matt, that was the original idea before this odd email he sent about threatening me. I will do the Settling with a reduced amount for the Raw footage and use your paragraph to contact him.

You're still vulnerable by agreeing to give a final product and getting paid later. You can still get a contract signed for the editing work. I'd recommend it if he says "I'll pay you within 24 hours". Sounds like a Joe Dono line.
