Relative newbie to the 35mm world here...

I have a shoot coming up with the ex3..I have the option of shooting with the pro35-letus extreme setup OR a 6-24 Digi Zoom +17-112mm Digi Zoom.

I'm looking to get the nice shallow DOF look I'm used to seeing with the 35mm adapters but like the speed/simplicity the digizooms may offer. Can I achieve the nice DOF look with these digizooms? Or do I have to really shoot long lens to get it shallower DOF? thanks!

There's just no way to get the same short DOF on the Digi Zoom. You're constrained by the 1/2'' sensor size although there's nothing wrong with the old "stand back and zoom in all the way" method. Depends on whether or not it's feasible for your project.
