DIGITIZING/TIMECODE Problem

Ever since I touched the Timecode regen/preset settings on my dvx100, I have not been able to batch capture. All I did was change the timecode preset to start at hour 2 instead of hour 1. Now, whatever footage I capture, if I try to give in and out points and do a batch capture, I get the "cannot find timecode" error message. I set everything back to "factory settings", and I still have the same problem. When it's trying to capture, I can see the timecode numbers jumping from hour 1 to hour 9 sometimes.
My friend has the exact same problem too.

Re: DIGITIZING/TIMECODE Problem

yeah, ive had this same problem with batch capturing in final cut pro 4. still no solutions

Re: DIGITIZING/TIMECODE Problem

I think I fixed it. Problem is, I did two things, so I'm not sure what did it.

First, I set the preset timecode back to zero across the board.
Second, I set the timecode setting to "regen" and turned off the timecode preset.

Now it batch digitizes fine.

Re: DIGITIZING/TIMECODE Problem

I BATCH capture all the time. No problems here...One thing I will add is to make sure your putting in the correct time code as you can easily forget to type a number and it will throw the whole capture off. Happened to me recently and I ended up capturing something at the head of the tape that wasnt supposed to be captured for that project all because I put the wrong timecode in.

I however am having issues with the Capture Now feature. It works fine for small short clips but If I try to capture like 5-10 minutes of video at one time, FCP will lock up and quit.

Re: DIGITIZING/TIMECODE Problem

The problem at hand is a common one, it happened to my friend as well.

Changing the TC settings back to "default" as I stated above, seems to fix it.
