Digitizing 24p -- Keep It Simple

I don't know about you but I've been on this board more than once looking for information and easing concerns about properly capturing and editing footage shot in 24p Advanced. There's a ton of posts, and it gets confusing. So, keeping in the K.I.S.S. rule ('keep it simple stupid') I've decided to throw this out becasue I don't think anyone has (or if they did I couldn't find it).

It's real easy. Just go to "Easy Setups" under the Final Cut Pro menu, and chose "DV NTSC 24p (23.98) Advanced Pulldown Removal."
That's It.

FCP has it all ready to go for you. Your capture setting and sequence setting will all be there, and all be right!
And by the way, you can use any dv device to capture your 24pA footage.
So, No More Worries...

Premiere's easy too!
All you have to do is take your computer, with the disc in it, trade it in for a mac w/ FCP, and follow these easy steps...
