digital recording device

[kapil]

I know Bella is working on the digital recording device the Catapult,
but does anyone know of a digital recording medium that will record directly from firewire cable to a digital output such as a harddrive, or one that comes with a built in harddrive, so that you can record directly onto captured .mov files as opposed to mini dv tapes?

Need two for a month shoot.

I recently read that the catapult was delayed. Have you looked at the Firsestore by Focus Enhancements? I have one and works great.

i just got an email from the people at catapult.

The interest in Catapult has been amazing. While we wish that we could offer great development news and even a release date, we are not able to at this time. The cause has been the engineering firm we hired for the project: as we progressed further into the project, it became clear that they were simply not capable of delivering what was promised

While we have ended our relationship with that particular engineering company, we are committed to Catapult and bringing it to market. You can get the latest news and updates by signing up for our Catapult Newsletter on our Bella website. Just click on Catapult and the link is at the bottom.

That means,
no date, no price.
Ive been talking to them since October about it; I need 3. Well....
I need 1...I'd Like 3.
