Hi friends,
After a couple weeks playing with my first dolly its time to try to make it better cause im not satisfied. My issue is at low speeds there is a slight vibration issue. The good thing is that its less noisy moving it slow across the rail. So tonight im going to take mine apart and see the size of these bearings installed in the unit which i suspect to be the issue. I dont know if any other sliders out there see this vibration being an issue so some of you dolly owners might not understand this drawback to a complete bearing rail system. Hopefully i can take out the original bearings and put some better ones in. There's a commercial bearing store near me that might have something better to swap in.
Ill upload some pics of the disassemble.
C-Stand Kit Mod
If anyone is using the C-Clamp from digital juice to the slyder , you can get better contact with the clip to the bottom of the slider by taking the 2 black rubber grip feet off. Mine were coming losing and provided alittle shake or play. To make it never lose tightness i also added some JB cold weld in that area. That added strength reduced that annoying giggle i was feeling. The JB is soo much faster that having to drill and tap for that second hole.
