Digital ISO values and exposure on 35mm film stock

If for instance I want to see how night scenes with just city lights in the street are going to be exposed on a movie camera with 35mm film stock of 500 ASA (like Kodak 5218). The shutter angle is the normal 180 degrees, and the aperture of the lens is T2.8.

I take a DSLR and choose ISO 500, shutter speed 1/50s (=1/48s), and f2.8. I shoot the picture: will it show a more or less accurate approximation of what the exposure on the Kodak film will look like?

Thanks.

This depends on the DSLR you are shooting on. For example, I use a Nikon D80 and the estimated latitude of the that SLR is about 7 1/2 to 8 stops.

This is great for me because I know that if I can see the detail on my SLR, I will DEFINITELY catch it in the negative, because most 35mm stock, like 5218 come in at around 10-11 stops of dynamic range. Kodaks new Vision3 stocks have an even bigger latitude, though I am not sure off the top of my head the exact number.
