I'm just curious, why do distributors always want a final copy in Digibeta?
Doesn't normal HD tape have higher quality than digibeta - 90bps versus 100bps and isn't digibeta capped at 720X586? If I'm giving them a Digibeta tape, aren't I giving them a less quality film?
Or am I just completely mistaked, and digibeta is a catchall term for Sony HD tape as well now? Just curious as I see this on all distributors checklists.
Second question, isn't films reslution even higher than this? If they are going from digibeta back to film, wouldn't that kill the quality?
