Diffuser frame

For a commercial shoot we did, we had a large diffuser frame that we put a few Arri minifloods behind, and together with a couple of dedos this worked great in the large studio. However, the frame was bulky and heavy and a pain to set ut, so I wouldn't want to carry that around with me a lot.

The question is, is there a compact, lightweight diffuser frame/screen system that's easy to set up, handy for the road? I want something 2-3m wide.

Or would I be better off with something like a large Chimera softbox for each tungsten?

I think they're both about equal trouble. You still have to setup the softboxes when you get where you're going.

Chimeras are nice, and not really that much trouble. I also have a few window sheers in my kit. Just stick as many as you need on a c-stand and there you go. You'll have to weight them down if you are outside. The nice thing is you can put a few up and change there distances from the light to the subject.
