Can anyone here give me advise on finding locations for filming in my area? I'm currently looking for a light up disco floor in the phoenix, arizona area but i have had no luck. Would it be best to contact a film comission? thanks.

Try and contact your local film office or location services. They usually help. Remember you will NEED insurance if you go through them. For me I would hit the streets find a few clubs you like and contact them by phone and see what the score is. Clubs are usually shut during the day and you'd be surprised what you can get them for. Recently I just shot a promo live setup...this club man...WOW...the interior had been designed by the same guy who did the 'Titty twister' from 'Dusk till Dawn' and it was cheap

Hey,
Do what you can and be creative. I shot a feature (my first one) in Canada on a budget of $15,000.00. It can be done but you have to be able to think out of the box and be willing to take risks. Suffice it to say it worked for us.
Good luck!
