Different Frame Rates on same timeline

I have a load of 24p footage from one camera and a load of 30p from another (actually, they are 23.97 and 29.97). I need to cut them together in premiere and output to 30p. I'm getting a headache. If I mix these, are they going to output correctly...because in my timeline render, the 24p goes from widescreen to square (what the?). Anyone have any tips? If it matters, the native resolution is 1080p. Thanks.

The Picture might be slighting different in feeling bettween the two shots, but if you create a 30p timeline prem should perform a pull up and frame blend

If your output is 60i, then just don't remove the pulldown from your 24p footage. Most 24p cameras (or at least mine) put the 24p footage in 60i and you have to do a pulldown process to get it to actually be 24p. If you don't do this, all of your footage will be 60i and your set.

The widescreen to square thing sound like an aspect ratio problem. My camera (Canon HV20) says on the box it shoots in 1920x1080 but ACTUALLY it shoots in 1440x1080 with a 1.33 aspect ratio. This looks kinda square unless stretched to the proper ratio.

So if only one camera does it this way, just stretch the footage horizontally until it fills the 1920 pixels and you'll be set. If both camera are that way then make your project 1440x1080 and set the aspect ratio to 1.33
