Different Bulbs for Ianiro

I recently bought a kit of 4 Ianiro Varibeam (1k Redheads). They use R7s t-5 DWX bulbs. They are stupendously bright and a bit of over kill for many situations. I would like to reduce the wattage on one or two of these.

I was wondering if you can get lower wattage bulbs that fit in these lights. Has anyone ever tried this?
 
Yes!

Lower wattage is never a problem (well next to never) as long as you can find the bulbs. I've had my redheads as 650's in the past & 800's at one point. You look to be in Toronto so go into the Source Shop down in Liberty Village by Lamport Stadium they have a really huge bulb selection, and can get whatever you want.

An alternate is always to build a 1K dimmer or two, this would give you the most control.
