difference between glidecam gold, v-16, and others

I've been researching stabilizers for the dvx. Does anybody know what the difference would be, if any, in footage captured from the Glidecam gold or the v-16. Has anyone used these? Are there less expensive rigs out there that perform just as well?
preferrably full packages w/ vest, arm, sled, lcd, etc.

I just looked at magiqcam.com, are these good?

As to your question about the footage being any different with the different models, that is entirely up to the operator. The differences in a lot of these models, for the most part, have to do with the amount of weight they can handle, not necessarily a significant difference in their functionality. Let's face it, they all claim to do one thing....give you smooth shots.

One thing I have learned operating my Glidecam is that you can get spectacular footage if you are willing to invest the time into practicing beforehand. It doesn't come easy and it will take a while to be able to actualize what you visualize....but, have faith, if you are determined, you will shoot like the best pros...it's up to you.

My advice, as always, when considering a major purchase is to find a place where you can rent these devices and then decide for yourself.

Asking the question "which stabilizer is best for me" can only be answered definitively by you.
