Difference between Bogen Tripods

Looking to get new Bogen sticks with the 501 head but there seems to be seems quite a few combo kits available at B&H. I'm looking at the 3021 & the 3221. Can anyone tell me the main differences between these sticks? I shoot mostly weddings and other events.

Thanks
Mike

Trying not to make the trip to B&H - the wife hates it when I go there. I looking to use the sticks mainly in the church usually in a balcony or main aisle, so quick setup and breakdown is important. Again from the back of a church zoomed in, is heavier better or are you refering to lugging around heavier gear? Not looking to break the bank - just a stable tripod.

Thanks
Mike

I don't know if you could afford it, but the carbon fiber Miller sticks are great for quick setup and break down, easy to carry too. I think they have like a shoulder strap. Also, If you are going for the bogen 50# fluid heads, I'd get the 503 over 501, I dont believe its much more and yet its alot better, a real fluid head.

Here's the Miller sticks I was referring to... kinda pricey, but very cool.

*Edit: BTW I know those Miller sticks are way over your budget after looking at the bogen sticks you wanted, but seriously, after thinking about it... those Miller sticks would be the ultimate for a Wedding shoot, especially in a church. You could easily and quicckly setup, and when your done, just throw it over your shoulder, camera in hand. I nearly bought these, but since I do more short film work, I went with a Sachtler DV6, great as well. Sorry guys, I have a thing against bogen, my XL1 fell off a bogen tripod onto its lens once... never again will I own a bogen. BUT the 503 is a great head for the money! K, i'm done now.

I agree on the 503 as the head to go for. I've had both the 501 and 503. Forget the 501!

Thanks to all those who gave me there pick on the tripod and head setup. Now I'll take a closer look at the 503.

Thanks
Mike
