Difference between 7.0 and CS3?

Do I even need to worry about CS3 if I'm editing on FCP 5.12 with footage from a Canon A1-XH, or will 7.0 suffice?

I'm going to tweak original footage from FCP 5.12, mostly visual adjustments. I'm not planning on adding anything like CG, mostly just color correction and lighting.
 
From my quite limited experience, I can tell you that CS3 has much better keying tools. Either one will work with your footage fine. Just look at the features of CS3, and see if you need them.
 
Keying tools are the same...both come with Keylight, which is usually the de facto keyer when in AE. For CC, they're both pretty much the same (off the top of my head). Prolost.blogspot.com has a really neat 3way CC'er for AE 7, and it's free.
 
If you are on an intel then there is NOOOOOOOOO question. Use CS3. WAAAAYYYY faster.

Did I stress that enough?
