diff in capturing from fcp or imovie hd

heck yes. why wouldn't you use fcp if it is available? Especially if you are shooting 24advanced on a DVX - Final Cut Pro has a setting to remove the pulldown on import. And you can edit in a true 24fps timeline as apposed to 30.

No comparison.

i am using a DVC30... lol the thing i dont like about fcp is it captures everything as one clip or you can sit there and upload each clip individually or u can sit there and log each clip then capture... is there any way to capture it as sperate clips as in imovie and other apps?

Either log the clips then batch capture (best and easiest way) or hit capture now, and then hit escape to stop capturing at every place you want a seperate clip. I hope that helps.

alright i captured some footage... when i started editing it in fcp i noticed that its like wierd... not interlaced but there are lines n stuff... i filmed in frame mode and imported in progressive, will this effect my final clips?
