Die Hard & Die Hard 2

Ok... I know, I'm a bit behind the times... as I just watched these two movies...

My review, well, for some brainless action movies these both were really well done! I like the first a lot better than the 2nd... action sequels never are as good as the original... Anyway, I thought they were fun, and I liked how John (McClane) was always getting hurt... made it feel more real to me...

Good films...

'Die Hard 2' is one of the most malicious movies I think I've ever seen...thinking of the whole 'resetting 0 AGL on the ILS slope' business...

...also loved the "Pacific Bell" logos on the fronts of the payphones in "Dulles Airport," in Virginia...

And, there was a criminal lack of Alan Rickman. What's the point, without Alan Rickman?

Die Hard was the movie which launched a genre. There's a reason why they call certain action movies "Die Hard on a . . . "

Die Hard With A Vengeance was pretty good, better than 2. But I like them all!

(Although, when it came to the videogame "Die Hard Trilogy", the first movie, which is superior to the other two, got the lamest game-type, how about that?)

Alan Rickman was awesome in that one. One of his very best roles imo. I also liked him in Robin Hood.

"but cousin... why a spoon?"
"because it's dull you twit.. it hurts more"

"Dances in Tights"/"Prince of Dweebs" doesn't turn yer crank, huh?

The opening shot of medieval Damascus was nice...past that I don't remember much.

Didn't appreciate the attempt at making a rape scene funny, near the end, either.

everytime i walk into the Fox Plaza building i think "So Kareem rebounds. Feeds Worthy on the break, over to AC, to Magic...then back to Worthy. BOOM! Two points."

You got to love the original Die Hard simply for the many great lines.

"Welcome to the party pal", is something I use in every day live as well as a bunch of others from the movie.

Die Hard 2 and 3 are good but the first is a classic.

"Now I know what a TV dinner feels like"
"I got invited to the Christmas party by mistake. Who knew?"

I grew up with Die Hard. I would always suggest watching Die Hard on christmas (that and Ben Hur). The amount of great one liners is enough to make Arnold blush. I liked Die Hard 3 a lot, not a big fan of Die Hard 2.
