Well, would you want to be seen in public, demoing it?

Yep, looked pretty dorky.

I did see a few guys walking around with the DVRigPro. Looked pretty nice. I wish I could have taken them up on the free rig offer.

I still chuckle everytime I see that thing.
I voted HVX200 as Best Gadget at NAB or something close to that. What won yesterday?

haha he looks lonely. Was there any footage with the cam? I'm just curious if it's benneficial at all to use it.

I didn't see any footage rolling but I handled it and didn't see any improvement over my regular handheld work.
The guy kept on saying something about how when you carry a hot bowl of soup you always carry it with two hands for better stability and that's what gave him them idea for it. I just don't get it...

Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas, Timecode) and David Lynch have both described working with camera rigs that look like steering wheels. Now that I see the pix, your right, it kinda looks silly.

hmm...i dunno...i ALWAYS have a bowl of water sittin ontop of my camera when i operate...this way im not careless about how i shoot...cause i dont want to spill da wawwa on da camawa

Actually, Mike Figgis worked with Manfrotto to create this commercialised version of the, "Fig Rig"

I think what he meant was when you carry a bowl of soup with two hands you can carry it much smoother so if you carry the camera the same way with two hands it ...must... be smoother.

Yes, I voted it Worst of NAB--before NAB even opened. Ask them if you can swap out the camera mounting plate for a soup bowl mount. TC--don't go picking on Sirius, he's one of the only people writing up some new products from NAB for the rest of us (thanks Sirius!).
