I just hacked my GH-2 using mpgxsvcd No Adverse Effects set j Final. Just decided to use that one because a number of people had suggested that in their tutorials.
I spent a long time studying all the references, including the ones on this forum, and the hack seems to have worked perfectly.
My only question is this: Is there no way to tell if the hack has "taken" (if is it in effect) by looking in the menus of the camera? I looked at the "Version Disp." in the Tools menu and it still reads 1.1. I had expected it to change to 1.2, which is the number I had renamed the file in Ptools.
Can somebody please help me with this? I've looked through everything I have and can't find anything about it.
