Did I just make a rash ebay mistake??....

So, I've been wanting a field production monitor and saw this on ebay:

Did as much research as I could in 20 minutes and at first I wasn't going to buy it because I could have gotten a new, but lesser, monitor for about a hundred more. Then I gave in and bought it. Did I screw up or get an ok deal?

Well, only time will tell. That monitor looks ok though, any ideas what controls it has? (blue gun, underscan etc etc?)

Very good monitor, price OK, as long as it works, but you'll need batteries.

No 16x9 mode, but other than that it's a good monitor.

When I looked the monitor up here: http://www.broadcaststore.com/store/model_detail.cfm?id=10560

It says that it can display 16:9? The think I thought I did badly on was that I thought it had higher resolution...

The 8041q does underscan, blue only and 16:9.  We used these in our Airfax 1, 6 and 8 kits - great monitors that will run nicely on AC or DC using the Sony NP1B batteries.

There is a store in Tulsa, Ok that sales used equipment. I can't remember the name. Check out there also.

Hmmm, I guess it does. I thought Sony didn't add 16:9 capability to the 80xx series until the later run of 8044's. Sorry.

Looks like a decent deal to me. The resolution isn't as important as having underscan and blue gun only modes, plus 16:9 is great.

Yeah, but then I realized (too late) that for about $100 I could have gotten a brand new Ikegami or JVC... I think I made a boo boo...

Looks like JVC mfgs. the Ike monitor? You'll like the Sony - don't beat yourself up!
