Hi there

After capturing some DV footage with Vegas 6.0 it looked like this whenever there would be some motion.

In the shot the camera is following the car moving by. And everything just looks crap :(

Ive tried different settings but im unable to get rid of that "pixelated" look. Anyone who know how to get a cleaner look?

If you shot 50i, that's perfectly normal. It will look fine on a TV.

The manual doesent specifcally say the camera shoots 50i. But here is what i found under specifications and i think it interprates to 50i:

"Video
Recording system:
Digital component
Television system:
CCIR: 625 lines, 50 fields PAL colour signal"

Am i right?

What is your advice on codecs and rendering options if i want to export to DVD and view the final edit on TV again? Can i ever get the same quality as the "raw" recordings i view directly from the tape/cam?

That's 50i.

As for render options, if you're using DVD Architect, under MPEG-2, use the DVD Architect PAL DVD template.

Otherwise, use the PAL DVD template.
