just got my dvx100p from profeel.

the actual panny box was inside a bigger box, because i bought some extras.

on the actual panny box was a blue ups 2 day air sticker and one of those clear plastic pouches that had something removed.

the camera looks to be new. on the bottom there was something about "complies to canadian standards"

so now i'm paranoid i received an grey market camera from canada.

any advice ?

thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it. When Panasonic dealers in Canada order stuff like the DVX, they usually receive direct form Panasonic US if the local Canadian distribution center is out of stock. Hence the packing slip envelope.

yes the DVX100's in canada come from the states.. the actual broadcast division of panasonic in canada is alot smaller than you would think. I actually am in Canada and ordered mine direct from EVS in California, because it was cheaper than the Canadian prices. wouldn't make much sense for a store to import a camera from canada that costs more than it does in the states.

I wouldnt worry about it at all. Just go in your menus and make sure the head meter is low.

...and make sure there is no clinking sound when the camera is turned off.

Alright, alright, I'm kidding. Sorry. I'll stop.
