Did I Get a Good Deal on This Tripod?

Just picked up a Bogen 3033 with a Bogen 3063 fluid head for $100.

Used, but in decent condition. I think I got a pretty good deal for this, but since it is my first "professional" tripod, I wanted to know what others think. Maybe the price is just about right, but something tells me I scored.


This tripod is meant to hold up my DVX100a, of course.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. They would run a little under $300 new.

if it still tilts and pans smoothly without any kind of jerkyness, then you got yourself a deal.

I wouldn't call it a major score as the 3063 head is old news and never had spectacular fluid motion. It's been long discontinued and replaced by the 501 (3433) head but since it's your first pro piece and it was only $100.00, then more power to ya. You definitely didn't pay too much.
