im about to pay close to... lets see...

24mm 2.0 was $270
35mm 2.0 was $200
50mm 1.4 came with my ifocus while back
85mm 2.0 currently at $140 but i have a max bid at $350

Wow, that's a lot. I didn't even spend that much for Nikon lenses and I have a set that's about equal to your list.

28mm f/2, 35mm f/2, 50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.8, 135mm f/2.8 and for exactly $500.

Mine:
24mm f2.8
28mm f2.8
35mm f2
50mm f1.8
55mm f2.8 macro
100mm f2.8
200mm f4

Total $580

Best bargain lens: 100mm f2.8 - got it on eBay for $18 over a year ago.

Disjecta do you use a preview monitor on your rig for focus?

thanks,

I use a Marshall vr70phda 7" HD monitor for shoots under relatively controlled conditions. For grip and rip shooting like sports, I just eyeball the LCD with peaking on. Using a 100mm or 200mm lens helps because the depth of field is pretty shallow so it's easier to discern where your focus is.

Not that I've got cashus clay burning a hole in my pocket but I'm still so leery of buying lenses off of ebay however I've heard enough good to consider it a bit more - what do you guys who have done this regularly recommend as a good strategy? - Power seller? Additional hi-res pics? etc?

I'm still in the market for a couple more lenses and would definately like to save as much on them as I can :)

if the prices end up going the way they are going, i should have paid no more than 200 a piece. which i think is reasonable considering how fast they are. and their condition.
